Welcome to Jay’s Motor Rent a Car. Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before renting a vehicle from us. By renting a vehicle from Jays Motors, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions.

1. Rental Agreement:

  • A rental agreement is a legally binding contract between you (the Renter) and Jay’s Motor Rent a Car. By signing the agreement, you agree to the terms and conditions specified within.

2. Rental Requirements:

  • To rent a vehicle from Jays Motors, you must meet the minimum age requirement of 25 years and hold a valid driver’s license for at least two years.
  • For licenses issued outside of the CARICOM jurisdiction, a permit from the government of Dominica is required.
  • A security deposit of $1,000 XCD or $400 USD is mandatory for every rental.
  • A daily insurance charge of $8 USD applies.

3. Vehicle Return:

  • The rental vehicle must be returned in the same condition as it was received. Failure to do so may result in additional charges.
  • The vehicle must be returned on or before the agreed-upon return date and time. Late returns may incur additional fees.

4. Rental Extension:

  • If you wish to extend your rental period, please contact our customer support team for approval and to discuss any additional charges.

5. Cancellation Policy:

  • Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled pickup time will receive a full refund.
  • Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time will be subject to an administrative fee of $25 USD, with the remainder refunded.

6. No-Show and Early Returns:

  • No-shows (failure to pick up the rental vehicle) and early returns will not result in refunds. The full rental fee, including additional charges, will apply.

7. Accidents and Damage:

  • In case of an accident or damage to the rental vehicle, please refer to the insurance and damage policies provided.

8. Driving Restrictions:

  • Rental vehicles must not be used for racing, off-road driving, or any illegal purposes. Crossing international borders with the rental vehicle is generally prohibited.

9. Third-Party Drivers:

  • Additional drivers may be added to the rental agreement for a fee, provided they meet the rental requirements.

10. Compliance with Laws:

  • Renters must comply with all applicable laws and regulations while using the rental vehicle.

11. Limitation of Liability:

  • Jays Motors Car Rental is not liable for personal property left in the rental vehicle. We are also not liable for any injuries or damages incurred during the rental period.

12. Vehicle Availability:

  • While we strive to provide the vehicle you booked, Jays Motors reserves the right to substitute a comparable vehicle if necessary.

13. Privacy Policy:

  • Our privacy policy outlines how we collect and use your personal information and is available on our website.

14. Dispute Resolution:

  • In the event of a dispute, please contact our customer support team to seek resolution.

15. Changes to Terms and Conditions:

  • Jays Motors Rent a Car reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time.
